Mover Coordinator

Responsible for all aspects of maintaining company vehicles, including safely and efficiently driving company vehicles. Scheduling Movers for their shifts and maintaining calendar, including both cleanouts and store movers. Supervising and training cleanout Drivers and Movers. Document and maintains an efficient and organized process for moving furniture and boxes/bags of merchandise from houses, apartments and storage lockers into truck for transportation to Empty the Nest store. Implement and supervise this process for all ETN Movers and trucks. Report end of day cleanout status to team. Coordinate loading of trucks at client homes and unloading of all trucks at ETN store. Schedule donation deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as an ambassador of Empty the Nest and ensure the highest quality services to our customers.
• Report daily to supervisor and turn in all required payments, receipts and paperwork
• Responsible for the operation of Empty the Nest vehicles and assist in the warehouse, including driving, picking up, unloading, delivering to charities.
• Supervise loading and unloading of the truck
• Practice safe driving habits
• Maintain vehicle equipment and general vehicle maintenance
• Perform routine truck maintenance on ETN vehicles
• Weekly review following week’s cleanout schedule for accuracy;
• Order dumpsters
• Ensure that trucks are loaded with all needed supplies for the day
• Supervise and train on-site cleanout movers with ETN best practices;
• Manage truck loading process to utilize space and time;
• Lifting, loading and stacking furniture, boxes of merchandise and items;
• Coordinate with store warehouse a truck unloading process
• Communicate with appropriate personnel status at end of each cleanout
• Coordinate with store warehouse to arrange and organize items in the warehouse;
• Operate various types of hand tools and power tools;
• Assist packers in moving items or boxes at the client’s site;
• Assist store personnel to relocate and stage items in the store;
• Transport purchased items from the store to assist the customer in loading in their vehicle;
• Schedule Movers for their shifts; resolve scheduling issues
• Supervise Cleanout Movers
• Able to work night, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed
• Must have a clean driving record with no recent moving violations
• Attend meetings and training as requested
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience, Skills and Education:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred;
• Transportation to and from work;
• Ability to use time efficiently and complete work in a timely manner;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness;
• Respond positively to direction from management or lead;
• Adapt to changes in work environment and work schedule, flexible;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Observe safety and security procedures;
• Work independently ensuring quality work is performed efficiently.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand.
• Regularly required to climb stairs;
• Occasionally required to wear OSHA approved mask and follow safety protocols.
• Regularly perform heavy physical activity; (approximately 50+ pounds)
• Exposure to adverse conditions;
• Exposure to extreme weather (hot and cold).

Visual Merchandiser, Part-Time

As a Visual Merchandiser, assigned to the Golden Valley location, you will make sure that our merchandise is both attractive and accessible to our valued customers. You will assist the team in the display of the merchandise while maintaining general cleanliness and orderly store displays, while fostering teamwork, innovation and a sense of fun. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Empty the Nest staff to provide an appealing store front;
• Setting up displays and furniture from a staging area to the store front in an appealing and accessible manner;
• Rotate product and displays to improve visual appeal;
• Maintain store cleanliness and orderly merchandise displays, under the direction of the Assistant Store Manager;
• Work collaboratively with the team and ensure quality job performance;
• Follow team lead direction and complete assigned tasks with enthusiasm;
• Observe safety and security procedures.

Qualifications:

• Use time efficiently and complete work with consistency and in a timely manner;
• Adapt to changes in the work environment and flexible work schedule;
• Transportation to and from work;
• Basic computer and mobile phone skills;
• Customer Service skills, including hospitality and friendliness;
• High School Diploma or GED preferred;
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular bases;
• Valid driver’s license.

Other Required Skills:

• Demonstrate attention to details, accuracy and proficiency;
• Self-starter and ability to work independently while ensuring quality work is performed;
• Manage difficult or emotional customer situations in a professional and hospitable manner.

Warehouse/Mover

As a Warehouse/Mover, you will work with the team to ensure that all merchandise, boxes and furniture, is handled carefully and moved from the job site (house, apartment or storage locker) onto the company truck and then unpack the truck at the Empty the Nest store.

Responsibilities:

• Move furniture and boxes of merchandise from the sites, throughout the Metro area, for shipment to the store location;
• Lift, load and stack merchandise carefully and efficiently;
• Arrange items in the warehouse and help arrange store furniture, as directed by the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager;
• Operate various types of hand tools and power tools, as needed;
• Assist site and store personnel, as needed;
• Collaborate with the team and ensure quality job performance;
• Follow team lead direction and complete assigned tasks with enthusiasm.

Qualifications:

• Use time efficiently and complete work with consistency and in a timely manner;
• Adapt to changes in the work environment and flexible work schedule; Ability to lift heavy-weight materials (50+ pounds), on a • regular bases; Ability to climb stairs, on a regular basis;
• Ability to work in adverse conditions, with exposure to extreme hot and cold weather;
• Respond positively to management direction and instruction with enthusiasm;
• Valid driver’s license;
• Transportation to and from work sight;
• Basic computer and mobile phone skills;
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Packer/Un-Packer

As a Packer/Un-Packer, you will work with the team to ensure that all merchandise is sorted, handled carefully and packed for shipment to the Empty the Nest store.

Responsibilities:

• Sort materials and carefully pack merchandise at sites, throughout the Metro area, for shipment to the store location
• Prepare and label boxes accurately for merchandise identification
• Work collaboratively with the team and ensure quality job performance
• Follow team lead direction and complete assigned tasks with enthusiasm
• Able to distinguish between merchandise for resale or donation.

Qualifications:

• Use time efficiently and complete work with consistency and in a timely manner
• Adapt to changes in the work environment and flexible work schedule
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular bases
• Valid driver’s license
• Transportation to and from work sight
• Basic computer and mobile phone skills
• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Cashier, Part-Time

As a Cashier, you will operate the point of sale to accept payment for the merchandise, at the thrift store location in Golden Valley.You will assist in the display and pricing of the merchandise while maintaining general cleanliness and orderliness of the store displays.

Responsibilities:

• Receive legal tender as payment for merchandise and make accurate change, when required;
• Greet and assist customers with genuine hospitality;
• Assist with pricing merchandise under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager;
• Assist with displaying merchandise under the direction of the store Stagers and management;
• Maintain store cleanliness and orderly merchandise displays;
• Maintain adequate supply of cash for the purpose of providing change to the customer;

Qualifications:

• Use time efficiently and complete work with consistency and in a timely manner;
• Adapt to changes in the work environment and flexible work schedule;
• Transportation to and from work;
• Basic computer and mobile phone skills;
• Customer Service skills, including hospitality and friendliness;
