Driver / Mover / Warehouse

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an ambassador of Empty the Nest and ensure the highest quality services to our customers.
  • Report to supervisor daily and turn in all required payments, receipts and paperwork
  • Maintain vehicle equipment and general vehicle maintenance
  • Perform routine truck maintenance on ETN vehicles
  • Weekly review following week’s cleanout schedule for accuracy.
  • Order dumpsters
  • Ensure that trucks are loaded with all needed supplies for the day
  • Coordinate with store warehouse.
  • Communicate with appropriate personnel status at end of each cleanout
  • Coordinate with store warehouse to arrange and organize items in the warehouse
  • Operate various types of hand tools and power tools.
  • Assist packers in moving items or boxes at the client’s site.
  • Assist store personnel to relocate and stage items in the store.
  • Transport purchased items from the store to assist the customer in loading in their vehicle.
  • Able to work night, weekends, extended hours, and holidays, as needed
  • Attend meetings and training as requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience, Skills and Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred;
  • Transportation to and from work;
  • Must have a clean driving record with no recent moving violations.
  • Ability to use time efficiently and complete work in a timely manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Respond positively to direction from management or lead.
  • Adapt to changes in work environment and work schedule.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Observe safety and security procedures.
  • Work independently ensuring quality work is performed efficiently.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand.
  • Regularly required to climb stairs.
  • Occasionally required to wear OSHA approved mask and follow safety protocols.
  • Regularly perform heavy physical activity (approximately 50+ pounds).
  • Exposure to adverse conditions.
  • Exposure to extreme weather (hot and cold).

  • Able to distinguish between merchandise for resale or donation.
